My service:
I draw up a complete file (one-wire diagram and situational diagram) of the existing installation.
Based on this and depending on the age of the installation, I determine which interventions are required to obtain a positive inspection certificate for your installation, and I make a quotation for this.
Based on this, you decide for yourself whether you want to have this carried out or not.
My guarantee: rejected = inspection cost refunded.
If your installation is rejected after I have checked it and all work in the quotation has been carried out by me, I will refund the price of the inspection.
Requirements for inspection:
The installation must meet the requirements of the "General Regulations for Electrical Installations" (in short: AREI). There are also a number of exceptions for old installations.
A one-wire diagram of the installation must be present in the file.
A situation diagram of the installation must be present in the file.
When selling an older house, the installation is often rejected because the 2 diagrams are not present. However, the installation can often be reapproved provided the schedules are drawn up and minimal alterations are made.
When should you have an installation (re)inspected?
Of course, every new installation must be inspected.
Existing installations must be inspected at least every 25 years (or in other words: you must have an inspection certificate that is younger than 25 years).
Every extension of an installation requires an inspection: E.g.: a new ring circuit for an addition or garden lighting.
Every modification of an existing ring circuit requires an inspection. E.g.: adding a socket or light point.
When selling a home you must have an inspection certificate for the existing installation (passed or not).
